Their story began at three hospitals. H&H’s paths first crossed in a hospital lecture hall in Stockholm (Helen’s entrance halfway through the lecture made quite an impression on Hampus who was substituting for the regular lecturer). The following year, fate brought them together again, this time in an operating theatre in southern Sweden. Another year on, they shared a lunch at Malmö hospital – but this time, it wouldn’t take another year for them to meet again. Soon, they began dating and quickly, they became a couple, sharing many interests from Ugandan food to sailing, champagne and dancing to afrobeats.

From those three hospitals, they have now covered three continents and four countries together. After their engagement on a mediterranean island in 2019, Covid and the arrival of their son upended marriage plans – but this year, at last, it is time to celebrate their love and have the most amazing party that Ssese Islands has ever experienced!
